Tess Merkel and Martin Rolinski have joined forces to create something new.
Together they form Merkel & Rolinski, a duo built on 25 years of Scandinavian pop history and a shared passion for great songs and unforgettable shows.
Both have individually shaped the sound of Swedish pop, Tess as the voice of Alcazar, Martin as the frontman of BWO. Now, for the first time, they are creating music together with new original releases and a live show that celebrates everything they and their musical family have built.
Their show, BWO vs Alcazar, is a high-energy celebration of their Scandipop anthems, delivered with powerful vocals, striking stage presence and pure pop joy.

Martin Rolinski
Best known as the lead vocalist for Swedish chart toppers BWO, Martin brings a dynamic edge to the duo alongside a rich legacy of hits from the BWO catalogue such as “Lay Your Love On Me” & “Temple Of Love” as well as his own solo work such as “Blame It On A Decent Matter” and his 2013 Melodifestivalen entry “In And Out Of Love”
Besides this Martin is accomplished in songwriting writing for both BWO and himself on multiple occasions.

Beyond her work with Alcazar, Tess is an accomplished vocalist with solo work such as “Good Life” that took part in Melodifestivalen 2021. As well as this Tess presents a daily show on Star FM in her native Sweden
